YOUR OBLIGATIONS IN TERMS OF FIRE TRAINING
According to the Labor Code, the employer is obliged to have a general safety obligation towards his employees: he must take all appropriate measures to ensure their safety and physical and mental health at work. Beyond the obligations of means, regulations and jurisprudence impose on the employer an obligation of result. These measures should include measures to prevent occupational risks, information and training, and the establishment of an appropriate organization and means. Fire training initial recycling
Training in safety is thus an integral part of the prevention policy that the employer must implement (Labor Code, Art. L4121). Failing this, in the event of an accident at work or an occupational disease, civil liability or even criminal liability may be incurred. Every school head has a legal obligation to organize practical and appropriate safety training for the benefit of newly hired workers, those who change jobs or technical skills, and temporary workers Labor, Articles L4121-1 to 4 and L4141-1 and 2).
THE OBLIGATION TO TRAIN EMPLOYEES IN FIRE SAFETY FALLS UNDER THE FOLLOWING ARTICLES:
R4227-28 of the Labor Code: The employer shall take the necessary measures to ensure that any commencement of a fire can be rapidly and effectively fought in the interest of the rescue of the workers. ”
R4227-39 of the Labor Code: The duty, for any person perceiving a fire start, to give alarm and to implement the means of first aid, without waiting for the arrival of the specially designated workers. The Fire Safety Instruction provides for periodic testing and inspection of equipment and exercises during which workers learn to recognize the characteristics of the general alarm sound signal, to use the first aid facilities and to perform the various maneuvers required. ”
